You can change your Covered California health plan during the yearly Open Enrollment Period or after a major life change.

When You Can Change Plans

Open Enrollment: Runs from November 1 through January 31 each year. Anyone can switch plans during this time.
Special Enrollment: Happens mid-year if you have a qualifying life event. Examples include moving, marriage, having a baby, or losing other insurance. You usually have 60 days from the event to make a change.

How to Change Your Plan

Sign in to your Covered California Account.
Go to your enrollment dashboard.
Select your current options to compare and shop for a new plan.
Submit your new choice before the deadline.
